Principal's Message
Dear Promise Academy Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope your family enjoyed a safe, relaxing, and memorable summer. On behalf of the entire Promise Academy team, I am excited to welcome back our returning families and extend a heartfelt welcome to those joining our school community for the first time.
As Promise Academy begins its fifth year, we remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is valued. Our dedicated educators and support staff use individualized instruction, evidence-based practices, communication supports, structured routines, and positive behavioral strategies to address each student’s unique strengths and needs. We look forward to celebrating every accomplishment—big and small—as our students learn, grow, and thrive.
Family partnership is essential to student success. We encourage you to maintain regular communication with your student’s teacher and support team, participate in school activities, and share your ideas with us. This year, we will continue strengthening our family and community outreach efforts, including working toward establishing a Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO/PTA). We hope many of our families will become involved and help us build an even stronger Promise Academy community.
Please join us for our Back-to-School Event on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Families will have an opportunity to visit their student’s classroom, meet the teacher and support staff, and become familiar with the learning environment. A Title I presentation will also be held at 4:00 p.m. in the conference room.
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 11, 2026. This will be a minimum day, and students will be dismissed at 12:05 p.m. Please review all transportation and dismissal information carefully and communicate any questions or changes to the school office.
We recognize the trust you place in us each day, and we are honored to be part of your student’s educational journey. By working together with compassion, consistency, and high expectations, we can create meaningful opportunities for every student to succeed.
Thank you for being an important part of the Promise Academy family. Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year filled with learning, connection, growth, and promise!
Warm regards,
Amy Westlake
